If Trump Gets A Second Term, He’ll Bomb An American City
Americans can end Trump nightmare in November or look forward to even worse crimes

That headline might sound shocking, but it’s supposed to grab your attention and remind you of the dire straits America finds itself in. Several commentators have warned of this situation. Intelligence specialist Malcolm Nance has frequently stated that the country is facing its biggest crisis since the Civil War. And that was before President Donald Trump threatened to delay the election or defund the Post Office to prevent absentee ballots from being mailed out. Doom merchant Umair Haque frequently warns that America is on the brink of political and economic collapse.
An unfolding dictatorship
In a July Medium article, he said Americans we’re blind to the tyranny unfolding in front of them,
“Americans have been in denial about what Trumpism really is. What kind of people build…actual concentration camps? Put kids in them? Rip them from their mothers? Set up Gestapos to hunt them in the streets? There’s only one word for such people. Nazis,” said Haque.
Several years ago, I predicted Trump would order troops to fire on American citizens. That happened in Washington, D.C. and Portland, Ore. However, the troops used pepper spray, not live bullets. But how far are we from that? The Trump administration has already exceeded my worst fears. I predicted armed troops in the street, but I didn’t see Trump trying to install his children as his successors or a secret police force abducting people and arresting them for crimes they might commit. (That’s pretty much the plot of the movie “Minority Report!”)
However, the ACLU of Oregon is not taking this lying down. The organization has filed several lawsuits against the local police and masked federal agents to protect journalists, legal observers and citizens exercising their constitutional rights.
“I’ve been documenting violent and militarized police responses to protests in Portland for more than four years, but nothing prepared me for the unrestrained brutality I’ve witnessed and experienced in recent days,” said Doug Brown, ACLU Oregon, communications associate. “ …We cannot sit idly by and accept this as the new normal — in Portland or anywhere else in this country. And we must not let federal or local law enforcement suppress or control what people know about their violent tactics by attacking journalists and legal observers.”
I have watched autocratic leaders around the world employ similar tactics, actions that often precede broader uses of violence against domestic opposition. Unidentified federal forces in cities across the United States committing abuses against demonstrators is an evolution in the Trump administration’s authoritarian approach to dissent, not an anomaly.” — Kyle Murphy, former DIA senior analyst
Trump, the supervillain
I’ve learned to expect the worst from Trump, especially since revelations from his niece Mary Trump’s book only confirm my fears. According to Mary Trump, her uncle was raised by a sociopath, had an emotionally-distant mother, taught that kindness was a form of weakness, and can’t stand being wrong. That’s the profile of a supervillain. It’s no wonder Dr. Bandy Lee, a Yale psychiatrist, said she’s seen Trump’s personality type in the criminal justice system.
According to former Trump fixer Michael Cohen’s upcoming book “Disloyal, A Memoir,” he feared for his life after he turned on the president. (Cohen was jailed after he refused to sign away his first amendment rights. That ruling was overturned, but technically he could qualify as a political prisoner.)
If these warnings aren’t enough for you to take this seriously, consider comments from Kyle Murphy, a senior analyst with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA.) He recently resigned in protest of Trump. According to an article in Just Security, Murphy’s old job was studying foreign tyrants. He resigned because he began to see the same traits in the Trump administration.
American tyrant
“I was among the thousands of peaceful Black Lives Matter protesters tear-gassed in Lafayette Square and nearly knocked to the ground by the downdraft from a military helicopter hovering over Pennsylvania Avenue,” said Murphy. “In the course of my work, I have watched autocratic leaders around the world employ similar tactics, actions that often precede broader uses of violence against domestic opposition. Unidentified federal forces in cities across the United States committing abuses against demonstrators is an evolution in the Trump administration’s authoritarian approach to dissent, not an anomaly.”
If reelected Trump won’t get better, he’ll get much worse. Anyone who’s lived through an autocracy realizes that the real problem is getting tyrants to leave. Most don’t go peacefully. Trump has another incentive not to step down because he’ll likely face prosecution.
Choosing between Trump and Joe Biden should be easy. Either take out the rotten tooth or lose the jaw and maybe the patient.
